I wanted to take a brief moment to wish my readers a very happy and safe holiday season. For me, the beginning of the holidays always begins at Thanksgiving and will now carry on until the 6th of January. Regardless of whom I am around during this season, I appreciate the positive energy, harmony, and laughter that we share and experience. Enjoy the weeks ahead and if you are lucky enough to be snowed in, feel free to read one of my books.
Swimming With Angels is quite the hot topic on Amazon right now. I don’t know if it’s due to good timing or just the readers are finding the novel for the first time. Regardless, I wanted to share that I’m thankful readers are discovering this thoughtful story.
Mentioned previously, this is meant to be a standalone book. While the book picks up where Running With Vince left off, there is more to the story then simply continuing the relationship of the two brothers. This novel digs deeper into the human psyche after losing someone.
With a few years away from the project, I appreciate the story more now than I did when sitting down to write the book. Sure I have written several books since SWA, but this is probably my favorite of the bunch. I didn’t set out with any specific agenda, save figure out where Christian is in his life and why he has ended up on his current path and trajectory. There is a sense of desperation in the novel and an undertone that Christian has the potential to improve his life if he just gets out of his head and becomes a person of action. But he can’t act until Vincent appears and that is when the story gets interesting and more complicated.
I find that this is true for many people who have experienced loss whether in love, work, health, or with those closest to them. Perhaps there are other books that deal with topic, but I am bias to the brothers and their special bond. If you haven’t had a chance to pick up a free copy on any of the major e-book distributors, there is no better time than the present.
