Book three is complete! I finished the first draft earlier today. Between my vacation and the past week, I got my writing groove on. Readers and students always ask how much time it takes to compose a novel so my answer to you concerning Valo is a short 17 work days. Granted that’s time set aside to work on the story; not non-stop.
I’m excited to finally have this draft done because I intended to compose and publish Valo in 2017. Sometimes you can’t rush the process. I learned years ago that I need the environment to be conducive to writing and I need to be in a creative mood and state. When those three occur, it doesn’t take long to pound out a story.
While a year late, it’s a relief to move on to the editing, publishing, and release phase.
Still feeling good, I’m starting book four Lane tomorrow. In all likelihood it will be the final book of Luza. I’ve never been a believer of writing books to simply write them. For Keira’s growth and the books to end on a high note or dubious one, four should be the perfect number.
I’ll send more updates as I can, including the previews of the two remaining book covers. Margaret Fanco, who did the first two book covers has been busy working on some beautiful cover work that I can't wait to show you when ready.
